Whilst some are still struggling we will endeavour to assist them ongoing and try to make the long road a little easier . Most have long forgotten the trauma and loss experienced in the floods at Queensland but we here at Hoofs2010 we remember the visions quite clearly and the heart felt stories that were told.
Our wonderful guys working tirelessly have kept me up to date with events and have made me very proud to have met them and have them join our Association.
I can only hope we have a long friendship both professionally and privately. Our warmest appreciation for your efforts Shannon and Annette Lee and their wonderful sons..
Anette should have an update for you all shortly

UPDATE FROM ANNETTE AND SHANNON

What a busy few months we have had.  We have helped many people at the Gatton warehouse, but along the way have managed to make some lifelong friends.  We are proud to be able to assist these wonderful people in their recovery process.

On Wednesday we unloaded 500 bales of hay that has been donated by Quest Equine Welfare.  A big thanks to Wyn Trost, Leigh Brass and Shane Brass for their help on the day.  Also a big thank you to the guys at Tenthill Produce/Toohills for helping us unload with the hay grabber.  What a great invention that thing is!.
So what next for us?  Next week we have a remaining 250 bales of hay coming to us, along with a few pallets of hard feed.  In the next few weeks we will be winding down the feed shed and will focus on helping people get thier properties back on track so their stock can return, However we will still continue to help people feed their horses in a different capacity.

We still require funding to continue with our hard work. What will your donations pay for?
*Electric fencing systems
*Transport and logistics
*Vet Supplies
*Feed
Please go to our donations page
Clients will be assessed individually. We will travel to each persons property to see what we can do to help get our clients land back on track.

**Please note the warehouse will be closed this Wednesday 16th March but will re-open on the 19th of March.

Until our next blog, stay positive everyone.  Pleased give us a call if you need anything!

Cheers,
annette and rescueAnnette & Shannon

Hello everyone, well we have had some great events happening over the past weeks, Quest Equine have united a front with Hoofs2010 and will be assisting flood affected Queenslanders through the warehouse in Gatton. http://questequinewelfare.org

The floods are now a month past but the effects are still harsh and the whole aim of these wonderful groups is to relieve the burden of animal owners in a time where rebuilding is such a huge task.
We are still sending feed from the Hunter Valley and the generous donors from Business and the public has been overwhelming.
The amazing Support of hoofs 2010 volunteers and newest members Annette & Shannon Lee and their two hard working sons has made the task possible. If you have time to spare and would like to assist then please give them a call or if you would like to contribute towards feed for the people rebuilding or fencing materials ie energisers electrical tape insulators they would be very grateful as fencing lost is a huge issue in Queensland! and Electric fencing is easy enough for people to erect themselves to be able to return their stock home.
Once again I thank each and everyone of you who have assisted in this huge job at hand.
Your compassion and assistance have rebuilt my faith in Australian Spirit
regards Lynne

Hello everyone, Australian's have faced many disasters, all Mother Nature has to give and as a United front of caring animal lovers the road starts to be rebuilt. Lives were tragically taken both in the world of humans and our animals.
The road left to travel will be a long one so relief efforts will continue for some time as people start to come to terms with the losses of property and animals. here at Hoofs2010 Inc we have set up a warehouse with the most amazing assistance from people in the Hunter Valley and across Australia.

who have donated the time to manage and run the feed store for affected people of the recent flood disaster.
Our warehouse is supported by many businesses and private citizens, we have feed for all types of pets, vet supplies and  gear , rugs and riding equipment.
To access assistance from the warehouse you will need a health care card and your licence, or alternatively a recent bank statement and licence. these are the only criteria to meet and also your details.
We have set up a register of people who will need ongoing support to rebuild their lives and believe if we can assist with this process it will just make life a little more bareable.

Regards Lynne
HOW YOU CAN HELP OUR EQUINE FREINDS AND THEIR HUMANS
Wherever you are in the world you can make a difference!  As the flood waters recede in Queensland, families have been devastated with the realisation that all of their possessions and all of their reserves have been washed away by the water.  Not only has human life been lost, but the loss of stock has been large and is still climbing as the clean up continues.  People have lost not only their homes, but all of their feed for those of their animals lucky enough to be left alive. As a result, these animals are now in peril due to lack of sustenance.
Our goal at Hoofs 2010 inc.  is to continue supporting these people by supplying hay, chaff, hard feed, rugs, tack and medical supplies. Our initial campaign over the first two weeks after the floods was very successful;  we had teams out in the field delivering food to people who were not able to access help at the time.  We also had a temporary feed shed at the Ipswich Showgrounds that allowed people to collect feed.
