Hoofs2010 2012 Brumby Trapping Rescue Requirements
We have compiled our requirements for you to be able to receive Brumbies unhandled through Hoofs2010 Inc.
It has been our Policy since incorporation to only re home our brumbies through our rigid programme,which limits the number of brumbies we are able to support,
Last year we assisted 2 stock men with five brumbies each and Hoofs2010 retained the pregnant mares and foals.
this year we have formatted a way over the past 24 hours for others to participate in our efforts.
Heres what we require from you to be involved in the 2012 trapping rescue efforts
We would like you to send us a letter of reference to facilities you have IE steel holding yards equipment experience of
handling and your intentions in this project.
We also require you to do the Stat Dec (attached link) and have it witness by a JP.
We will send you your approval letter as soon as possible.
Some things you will need to be aware of and agree to are
YOU Must Know this fact
National parks will not pick and choose we will be sent one load and they will be what ever has been trapped so really you will be committing to take the number you have requested regardless
Hoofs at present do not take colts over the age of yearlings or mature stallions as our facilities are not advanced enough to do this safely
You will be responsible for the equal share of transport from NPWS to the sanctuary as this has to be covered per load of brumbies.
You need to be able to pick your Horses up asap once they arrive or You will be required to pay for feeding which will cost $25.00 weekly.
You will need to arrange your own transport from the sanctuary to your property and we ask that you hire a respectable transporter for this job.
You Must be aware, brumbies are impregnated at a very young age and we cannot guarantee your rescue will not be in foal.
You Must be aware , we do not cater to special requirements how ever if the opportunity arises to meet your specifics we will endeavor to let you know.
We must have your Interest forms asap to be considered to attempt this venture. Time is running out trapping will begin early March .please if you intend to help
